ME

ABOUT

What’s good, I’m Ruby!

Raised bi-coastal (shoutout Rochester NY and Bay Area CA), I spent most of my childhood singing, making up stories, and forcing my family to humor my very avant-garde original plays. As a teenager, I poured myself into musical theater and vocal training before spending a gap year traveling the world (shoutout Semester at Sea) and honing my people skills as a hotel receptionist. As a young adult, I spent three years training at NYU Tisch in the Atlantic Acting School, where I learned how physical craft, script analysis, and moment-to-moment work combine to create an instrument capable of telling a story.

Earning my BFA taught me discipline and professionalism, but it also showed me how crucial it is to have fun while acting. The word “fun” can be misleading; I don’t mean constantly goofing off. To me, fun means curiosity, freedom, and being open to receive whatever my scene partner is giving me and reacting truthfully. Retaining a sense of play isn’t easy when everything else in the world tells us to judge and restrict, but art needs truth in order to feel alive. And I am a much more truthful actor when I’m being my most authentic, weird, and open-hearted self. I try to do that every day. And as a fun little side effect, I’m happier in every other area of my life.

Ever multi-disciplinary, I am always working to expand not only my acting skills, but singing, improv, directing, playwriting, and sketch comedy writing. I’m currently directing Concord Floral at Theater Row with thwack. (a new theater company I helped found). And for the past year, I’ve grown my platform as a content creator, amassing over 115k followers through comedy skits across TikTok and Instagram.

Currently, I’m performing with my musical improv troupe (the FalseSettos), working as an actor with thwack. Theater Company, and of course, making silly videos online. Next step: Mayor of New York.
